OAKS – Ohio Administrative Knowledge System
SUCCESSFUL LARGE SCALE PEOPLESOFT IMPLEMENTATION
DSI was an integral part of the Accenture team on the Ohio Administrative Knowledge (OAKS) Project, contracted to design and implement a new information technology system to modernize the way the State of Ohio manages financial, human resource and payroll operations. We have had over twenty technical consultants involved including functional and technical resources with backgrounds in both the Financial and HCM modules. DSI integrated additional resources as new modules and functionality were added as a part of the Managed and Shared Services Project.
Diversified Systems has maintained a direct relationship with the State of Ohio, providing direct support to the Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS) Large-Scale ERP Implementation. We provided specialized, senior-level consultants who:
· Provided expert technical systems advice and guidance pertaining to the HCM functional and technical teams, data security team, technical architecture team, PeopleSoft Administration team and the database team in support of OAKS Enterprise Performance Management Data Warehouse.
· Provided expert technical systems advice and guidance to information technology managers (e.g., FIN functional and tech teams, HCM functional and tech teams, data security team, technical architecture team, PS admin/database) regarding all facets of computer project operations in support of OAKS Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Data Warehouse.
· Participated in multi-organizational, multi-disciplinary teams to determine, articulate, and codify business requirements; provided direction and assistance to Extract, Transformation and Loading (ETL) developers, and ORACLE database and networking staff, to establish and maintain the OAKS EPM infrastructure.
· Analyzing and designing components of Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (e.g., OAKS EPM running on PeopleSoft application): conducting/facilitating discussions with customers to review current and gather additional business requirements; analyzed and wrote business requirements, scope documents, program specifications and system documentation.
· Provided systems analysis, systems architecture and design assistance to data warehouse and report developers; maintained system design standards and procedures; analyzed system problems and created System Investigation Requests (SIRs) and Customer Relations Management (CRM) cases.
· Analyzed, prioritized, and assigned SIRs and CRM cases to appropriate party for action; contacted customers to gather information about system issues; coordinated issue resolution with technical and functional team members; tested solutions and performed quality control; contacted users to gather information on required accounts and their appropriate environment, roles, and tasks.
· Created technical requests to create or modify user accounts; designed test procedures and tested the system for validity and reliability; tested accounts for correct access; follows security procedures for new development to ensure data security and correct user access.
· Designed test procedures and tested systems for validity and reliability; ensured logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge scope, schedule and cost constraints; provided data analysis, data architecture and design assistance to functional/systems analysts, application developers and users.
· Created logical and physical data models and data dictionaries; wrote system requirements, general and detailed design documents; participated in management short and long-term planning and assisted in agency-wide policy and program development that impacted automated systems.
· Reviewed specifications, materials, tools, techniques and methodologies; acted as technical liaison with software vendors (e.g. PeopleSoft, Ascential); trained programmer/analysts in work functions and standards.
