Diversified Systems takes great pride in delivering large projects on time and within budget. We have consistently maintained 100% on-time delivery, at or below cost on numerous State Government projects for over 21 years. Here is a sampling of our more recent large-scale engagements.

OHIO ADMINISTRATIVE KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM PROJECT (PeopleSoft)

DSI was an integral part of supplying key IT resources to a large team on the Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS) Project, contracted to design and implement a new information technology system to modernize the way the State of Ohio manages financial, human resource and payroll operations.  We have had over twenty technical consultants involved including functional and technical resources with backgrounds in both the Financial and HCM modules.  DSI integrated additional resources as new modules and functionality were added as a part of the Managed and Shared Services Project.

STATE of INDIANA FAMILY SOCIAL SERVICES, IBM TEAM (PeopleSoft Financials)

DSI was an integral partner on the IBM team contracted to design and implement PeopleSoft Financials (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Project Costing, and Accounts Receivable / Billing for the State of Indiana Family Social Services Agency.  Along with technical resources for the financials, we supplied consultants who were responsible for developing the training curriculum as well as coordination of, and leading the training sessions to over 400 users per week.

STATE of INDIANA (PeopleSoft Procurement System)

We participated on the Maximus team to provide technical and DBA resources to deliver the PeopleSoft Procurement System which enabled cooperative purchasing from the State of Indiana’s commodity contracts for all eligible public entities including executive agencies and local units of government.

STATE of OHIO MITS PROJECT

For the last 4 years, and currently ongoing, DSI has partnered with EDS/HP to provide development, maintenance and support services to the State of Ohio MITS Project.  MITS is a strategic project to develop and implement an IT system to support the business needs of Ohio’s Medicaid health plans.  OHP has been selected as an early adopter of the Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) new Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA). Ohio MITS will be based on a transfer system, which will be designed and modified to meet the MITS system requirements for each of the business functions.  EDS/HP is the prime contractor on the Ohio MITS Project.  Diversified Systems was selected as one of the qualified subcontractors for the project.  Diversified Systems comprises approximately 75% of the Business Analyst Team, and is also providing System Administration, Testing, and Development services on the project.

STATE of OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TAXATION

DSI assumed the task of providing Project Management and Web Content Support to the Ohio Department of Taxation SD100/Re-Design of Form 1040 on Web and Assessment Conversion to DB2 Project. DSI took the lead role of Applications Development Project Manager for two concurrent projects within the Department of Taxation.  Our role in the project was to define and document an application development methodology that would become the ODH standard development methodology moving forward.  Interactive sessions were conducted with the AD project teams and their Supervisors to review the defined development methodology.  We then managed and oversaw the application development process for the two projects by applying a newly defined application development methodology.

OHIO JOBS AND FAMILY SERVICES (DB2, IMS, ORACLE)

For the last 10 years DSI has provided development, maintenance, and support services to the State of Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services in the areas of senior level IMS, DB2 and Oracle Database Administration. DSI was awarded the contract to take over complete ownership for delivery of these services.  DSI provides the technical expertise to fulfill ODJFS customer’s requirements and requests.  These senior administrators have been strategic in helping ODJFS move in the direction defined in the ODJFS IT Strategic Plan.  Our Administrators create, tune, and maintain databases for the department’s various hierarchical and relational systems in many environments up to and including production.  Most of the hierarchical databases are very large and complex in nature.

OHIO DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH

DSI provided Project Management and Business Strategy Support to the Ohio Department of Health’s Ohio Disease Reporting System (ODRS).  The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) has been developing an electronic disease reporting system for infectious diseases. Web-based disease case reporting for over 75 reportable infectious diseases with 13 disease-specific web forms, disease report highlighting, selection and search tools, disease alerts, on-line reports as well as exporting to other analytic software, jurisdictional security, sharing and transferring of data. Current system is Java based AND migrating to an exclusive .NET infrastructure.

STATE of OHIO CLIENT ELIGIBILITY SYSTEM

Business Analysis, Java/J2EE and Cobol Development.  State of Ohio CRIS-E (Client Registry Information System-Enhanced).  CRIS-E is an automated system used by over 15,000 caseworkers and administrators in support of the state and Federal programs for Ohio Works First (OWF); Prevention, Retention and Contingency (PRC); Food Assistance(FA); and Medicaid benefits to eligible Ohio recipients. Core operations in support of these users include application intake, eligibility determination, and issuance of benefits to clients.

STATE of OHIO AUTOMATED CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM

Business Analysis, Java/J2EE Development. State of Ohio Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System(SACWIS). 
SACWIS is designed to automate and coordinate the information that supports the protection of children and families that are vulnerable to abuse, neglect, dependency, and exploitation. SACWIS is deployed in all 88 Ohio county public children service agencies (PCSAs). SACWIS is a comprehensive Case Management System that assists county staff in managing their workloads and provides accurate and current data to assist in decision-making and program modification. SACWIS contains eight major functional areas: intake management, case management, court processing, administration, eligibility, resource management, financial management, and interfaces with ODJFS’ legacy systems – SETS, CRIS-E and MMIS.  Our reputation with CGI-AMS Columbus allowed us to expand our service offering to support CGI-AMS SACWIS in Wisconsin, Oregon and Florida.

OHIO DEPT OF REHABILITATION AND CORRECTIONS (MicroSoft PC Tablet)

DSI was awarded the multi-year, sole contract to provide Development, Maintenance and Support Services, Network Services and Project Management for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections Mobile Automation Tools Project. Diversified Systems provided the design and development of several applications for the Division of Parole and Community Services.  These technology tools are based on Microsoft Tablet PC platform and provide more efficient supervision of the offenders as well as facilitate in implementation of statewide offender programming initiatives such as the Reentry Accountability Plan for the State of Ohio.  The project also sets the foundation to utilize new, more effective technology at DP&CS that clearly augments the existing Community.
