WHAT BROUGHT IT ALL ABOUT?

The formation of Diversified Commerce was really driven by today’s customers demanding customized, integrated solutions. Throughout our 21 years in the IT services business, many of our services customers have been asking us about whether Diversified Systems offers IT products as a component of our solution set. Many companies and organizations today are looking for bundled IT solutions from one supplier where they can procure the latest products integrated with quality professional services to configure, install and implement.  Using one supplier makes the process smoother, easier to manage, more efficient, and therefor more cost-effective.

From time to time we have explored various ways to meet this growing demand and to somehow start selling IT products.  What we found is that to do this properly, is a difficult and risky undertaking for a purely services-driven company.  Other companies have attempted this and failed.

In 2010, we found a way to greatly mitigate the risk of entering into our new product offering. With this demand continuing to grow, and our desire to expand our capabilities and offerings, we implemented a sound approach to our new offering.  We found a company right in our own ‘back yard’ that’s as good at delivering products as we were with delivering services. We can be a fairly demanding customer and we have always been very pleased with how easy it was to acquire new products at low prices from our own trusted supplier here at DSI.

We entered into discussions and it quickly became obvious to each organization that it would greatly benefit from the skills and experience of the other.  Diversified Commerce LLC was formed, with DSI controlling majority ownership. We became a legal entity recognized and approved by the State of Ohio on July 7, 2010.  Now we provide a robust set of hardware, software, and services solutions.  Solutions that are custom-integrated to meet the growing demands of our customers.
