The DSI Business Development Consultant Program offers you a lucrative yet flexible opportunity to represent us in a business development capacity within your established base of contacts and organizations, or within new areas of your selection. This program may be utilized part time or full time. You define the territory or set of target accounts. Compensation can be quite lucrative for solid performers and is based directly on results. The results will be realized through a combination of your experience and expertise in the IT Industry and the proven DSI support methodology and techniques developed over 25 years in our industry.

Credentials

DSI seeks seasoned individuals experienced in the technology arena either in sales or management who understand how to identify opportunities for providing service and possess the skills mix to successfully drive the opportunity to close. A background in IT Business Development or Services Sales enhances your success probability, but equivalent project or managerial experience in applying technology to resolve business issues, may be equally desirable.

Support from DSI

Our goal is to help you reach a high degree of success. DSI provides a strong support platform to ensure successful results. An experienced team of managerial support is available to assist you throughout the sales cycle and beyond. Business cards, sales collateral and presentation materials are provided. Our full cadre of sourcing and recruiting services personnel are continually available to identify and provide highly experienced and on-target resources, as well as to assist in the service delivery as needed. DSI proposal generation teams are at your disposal to construct formal responses to opportunities when required. You will receive training on our CRM tool that will assist you with the tracking and management of your opportunities. You will carry with you years of goodwill and solid reputation from the day you begin.

Responsibilities

FULL COMMISSION BDC PLAN

Your responsibilities will be customized to meet our mutual needs based on your situation. The following is typical of what DSI would expect from a Business Development Consultant managing the sales and delivery process.

  • Identifying areas of opportunity and specific client opportunities
  • Assessing and interpreting client technical and business needs
  • Working with DSI recruiters to assist in identifying optimal resources
  • Presenting qualified resources to your client and prospect base
  • Promoting DSI in a positive light to clients and potential staff candidates
  • Working to maintain long-term positive relationships with billable staff
  • Leading the resolution, with our assistance, of any client issues
  • Assisting in resolution of staff member issues should they arise
  • Identifying new business opportunities proactively within your area
  • Generating new ideas on potential DSI lines of business offerings
  • Assisting when needed in proposal generation to secure new business
  • Providing brief weekly activity reports of activity for review using our CRM tool

BDC NETWORKING COMMISSION PLAN

Your responsibilities will be customized to meet our mutual needs based on your situation. The Networking Consultant plays an important introductory role, but does not have responsibility for sourcing, recruiting, selling, closing or managing the ongoing effort. The commissions are commensurate with effort, and are therefore less than the full-commission BDC, as DSI would provide commissioned sales and delivery personnel to manage the sales process and subsequent engagement management.

The following is typical of what DSI would expect of our BDC Networking Consultant.

  • Identifying areas of opportunity and specific opportunities within your contact network
  • Assessing and interpreting client technical and business needs
  • Promoting DSI in a positive light to potential clients
  • Identifying new business opportunities proactively within your network
  • Providing ‘warm’ introductions to individuals within your network
  • Providing brief weekly activity reports of activity for review using our CRM tool

Rewards

DSI uses a lucrative sliding scale of commissions designed with a high upside potential built in, based on efforts and results. We share a generous portion of our gross profit with you. The more profit dollars that are built in to the deal, the higher commissions you will earn. But that’s just the beginning.

Through the use of a built in accelerator you have the ability to earn dramatically higher commission by increasing the percentage of profit in the deal. A higher profit percentage results in a significantly higher percentage of commission.

If your goal is to earn a six figure income through the use of our program, you can do this with fewer people on billing by increasing the profit percentage. Higher dollar deals combined with higher margins represents “the perfect storm” of commission earnings.

Higher margins drive more efficient use of our capital and we believe you should be rewarded for that. Higher margins also result in more efficient use of your time enabling the pursuit of yet additional opportunities.
